The band was formed in 2007 at the initiative of Corb, Hultan and Strigoi, who found the proper way of expressing their music and ideas through the mystic sounds of black metal. The band was created with the intention of promoting Romanian Black Metal music around the world and its mystical dark messages coming from the ancient and bloody history and mithology of the Romanian lands . The three members had played together before in many bands that approached different styles of metal, extreme in general, and with many symphonic influences from which Syn Ze Sase Tri finally emerged.

The band immediately started working on their debut album but unfortunate deals with small indie labels delayed the release of the first album.

At the beginning of 2008 Spin joined the band, becoming the bands second guitarist, alongside Corb.

In 2009 Corb and Spin joined fellow-citizens Negura Bunget to replace Sol Faur and Hupogrammos, members that left the band. With Negura the two new members composed and recorded the album 'Virstele Pamintului'. The following touring duties with Negura Bunget stopped Syn Ze Sase Tri's activities for a while, but in the summer of 2010 Corb and Spin decided to concentrate more on Syn Ze Sase Tri.

In the beginning of 2011, to extend the sonic boundaries and to reach a new level of performance, the band extended its lineup by adding a new member, Lycan, who became the frontman and lead singer of the band bringing his death metal influences in the overall sound.

Since 2007, the band had few but important live appearances, sharing the stage with bands like Lord Belial, Graveworm, Benediction, Holy Moses, Todgelichter, Blutmond, Manowar, Dimmu Borgir, Overkill, besides Romanian gigs.

Besides Syn Ze Sase Tri, the band members had/have their own activities with many bands, known more or less, like Negura Bunget, In Defiance, Stellar Soul, Pandora, Wrachant, Nocturn, bands in which they added their own touch as professional musicians, playing many gigs and festivals like Graspop, Metalcamp, Brutal Assault, Hellfest etc.

In the spring of 2011 the Italian label Aural Music / Code 666 released SZST’s first album worldwide , entitled ‘’INTRE DOUA LUMI’’ in translation ‘’ BETWEEN TWO WORLDS/ TWO REALMS’’, a symphonic black metal album very well appreciated by the genre listeners and by the biggest metal magazines and critics, many times compared with the mainstream bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Emperor or Keep of Kallessin, Craddle of Filth and Amon Amarth.

Soon after the release, a dark cloud of misfortune seemed to follow SZST with Strigoi leaving the band due to some personal problems followed in short time by Spin which decided to rejoin Negura Bunget. This put SZST in a new standby period.
Despite all the problems, Corb continued on working on new Syn Ze Sase Tri dark tunes and material for a new album.

In the year that followed, the band started a new level in its existence. The music itself suffered some good changes, becoming more well arranged and mature.

A young and very talented drummer, Putrid, took the matter in its hands, replacing Strigoi, to be the heart of the band, and he succeeded. His playing abilityes fitt the band and the music gained a new feel with his Death / Black metal drumming skills, becoming more elaborate. One by one, new songs emerged, and in December 2011, Syn Ze Sase Tri started the recordings of the new album, entitled “SUB SEMNUL LUPULUI” (Under The Sign Of The Wolf).
It was a titanic work, the album being very elaborate conceptual an musicaly. The band was joined in studio by many local proffesional musicians, and some guests, that in the end completed the whole musical image. Marching snare drums, violins, viola, cello, trumpets, trombones, tuba, narrators, flutes and other traditional instruments, war chants, beside the band, made possible the creation of a music more powerfull, aggressive and epic than the previous album.

The new album was released in the spring of 2012. Again, the artwork was done by the great artist that made the previous imagery for SZST, the famous Jan Yrlund from Darkgrove Design, who made artworks for some famous bands such as Manowar, Tyr, Gwidion, …

The band enlarged the lineup for live gigs with the return of Spin who was part of the band on the first album, and with the addition of Urmuz a very talented guitarist who played before in bands like Vokodlok and Nocturn, both assuming the role of rithm guitar players.

Now, more than ever, the band is ready to conquer new territories and fans all over the world, promoting both albums and presenting a special show of Transylvanian blood stained metal, wherever the roads will lead.
