I’ll skip the band name that generated much hilarity with Klawz and made him ask me where I managed to find them (by the way, it was in Sweden, where it appears that two of their previous albums were nominated for the Swedish Grammy awards). I’ll also skip the album cover, which says nothing to me and it wouldn’t have made me want to listen to them. So I’ll just get to the content: 80s style power/heavy metal 80, with some hard rock influences that are reminiscent of AC/DC, and some other leaning towards the stoner side, but with more modern influences (except the crystal sound), such as the wonderful violins on Double Nature or Forever Begins Today, with wickedly fast solos, just enough keyboards to make the sound fuller, catchy choruses (as in I Wanna Be Loved, Falling Down or Bring Me Everyone) and headbanging rhythms. I found Spreading the Worst to be the best song, probably because it’s the one that is the most anchored in stoner. I couldn’t find any weaker songs, each one has its place and nothing is extraneous. The lyrics are, as far as I gathered, on a personal note, about personal feelings, fury, joy, despair – such as Bring me everyone / I’d love to hurt someone or Now I know what’s hunger / Now I know what’s thirst and so on. This is probably how the album could be defined – as a very personal experience. I, for one, loved it, with its melancholic touch: from Into the Night, with all its revolt and shouting, to the introspective The End. Canta interesant baietii, dar parca albumele anterioare imi plac mai mult...Mesajul albumului (exprimat destul de clar prin coperta si titlu) se refera la evenimentele din USA din 2001 (9/11)
As mentiona si influenta puternica a trupei THE CULT,influenta ce-si pune amprenta pe toate albumele Mustasch...
