Here’s a lyric video covering a song from the upcoming Der Weg einer Freiheit album

German black metal group Der Weg einer Freiheit will release the fourth studio album named “Finisterre” on the 25th of August via Season of Mist. Their type of black metal is pretty reminiscent of classics such as Marduk and approaches an aggressiveness similar to Endstille’s style. At first glance, it looks like the new album created by Der Weg einer Freiheit leaves more room for that certain type of melody found in those post-black metal creations in which themes related to nature and the melancholy emerging from it are the key elements. Here’s a lyric video covering the song “Skepsis Part II”, the first track taken from the upcoming album.

 

 

 

Der Weg einer Freiheit stated “We are extremely stoked to finally be able to present the first new track taken from our upcoming album ‘Finisterre’. In comparison to the quite complex and progressive instrumental ‘Skepsis Part I’, the now premiered ‘Skepsis Part II’ is a more straightforward composition, in which epic melodies are aggressively building up until the doomy grand finale. Ultimately, we consider both parts of ‘Skepsis’ to be connected and forming one extensive musical piece.
