Icelandic progressive, indie folk trio Árstíðir reveals new song from the upcoming album
Not everything which comes out of Iceland today is a consequence of the contemporary endeavours in the black metal genre. Many became aware of Árstíðir's significant existence in the melodic dimension of today’s rock music since the band toured with fellow countrymen Sólstafir, and some other musicians such as Anneke van Giersbergen or Pain of Salvation. Thus their message reached the proper audience given that the progressive style has been always permeating their creation. The Icelandic trio is now announcing the release of the fourth full-length “Nivalis”, which seems to continue the band’s free-from exploration of various genres and moods, from indie and chamber folk to pop, all set in a somehow minimalistic landscape which fits the lightsomeness perfectly. Árstíðir just revealed now another single taken from the new album, “Entangled”, which you can check below.

Nivalis” will be out on the 22nd of June and features an impressive number of guest musicians dealing with percussion tools, violins and cellos, such as Hálfdán Árnason of alternative rock local band Sign, Arnar Guðjónsson, or Guillaume Lagravière.
