Icelandic progressive rockers of Kontinuum announce the launch of the next album and unveil the first track

Hailing from Reykjavík and involving members from honourable local bands such as the black metal quartet Potentiam and the surrealist Momentum, Kontinuum has reached the stage of announcing the release of the third album, namely “No Need to Reason”. Let’s see where this one will lead the Icelandic band after the debut “Earth Blood Magic” became 2012’s rock album in the local newspaper Morgunblaðið, and the sophomore material “Kyrr”, which took the band outside the Northern borders to perform during renowned events related to the genre, such as Roadburn Festival, Summer Breeze or Devilstone Festival. While the vocals of Birgir Thorgeirsson may establish a clear connection with Ulver’s Kristoffer Rygg and his tone in the listener’s perception, the whole musical arrangement startles the ear with uplifting progressive melodies within an ambient setting filled with contrasts and melancholia. Here is the first single from the upcoming album, which will be released on the 6th of July.
